Convenient. I'm going to be out of town for my Birthday. Leaving on the 28th, coming back on the 30th, missing the entire event.
That's wrong on so many levels, lol.
As The Paragon- Sounds like a mix between a ritualist and a mesmer.
The Dervish- Sounds like a mix between a Warrior, Monk, and Assassin lol.
For the people who are saying the dervish is so cool, so awesome, and it looks ownage, just remember that was the exact things people said about assassins. Now look at how much hate they get, and how hard it is for them to get in groups :P.

I'd be happy just if any of the face and hair designs looked good :\
That was a letdown in Factions..The face designs were all Ugly.

LOL, true! The guys actually look cool for once. I am looking forward to being able to make a guy and not be embarassed of my character...I have a male ranger, but that's the only one where I could stand making a guy.
Now if they would just make the um...loincloth?...portion of the Paragon's battle skirt go down lower, so the skirt is basically all one length, that would be much better. I don't mind having the guy wear what we consider today to be a woman's skirt, because for many centuries the warriors all wore a skirt, or a robe that looked like a dress

This is because people are not playing the class as its supposed to be played. They are getting killed and giving assassins a bad name. Its not the class' fault that a good lot of players are playing like fools -.o
If the Dervish and the Paragon become hated classes, it will most likely be for the same reason.
Players who cant play.

The site said Dervishes are going to have low armor and compensate for that with evasion and heals, I doubt they'll be taking over as tanks.
Also, I remember seeing somewhere that the chapter would have a flying city. I Hope that was right.

If you saw that thing about the flying city on this forum you were prolly just reading some of my posts. Every once in a while when it fits the topic of a thread I'll throw in my little commentes about how I'd like to see a chapter with a continent in the skies. Who wouldn't!
The only other thing that you might be thinking of is an interview I read once that talked about a city where all these plants and decorations were just floating in the air magically. Or maybe there actually will be a floating city where the "guardian angel" paragon's hail from. It'll be fun to wait and see.

I'd have to agree. Most ppl play assasins like Warriors. They are ment to get in and get out. The only TP I see ppl do it to the enemy. Even the stupid Henchies TP away. I have seen some Assasins kick major butt when played right, unfortunately most ppl don't do that.
I just wanted to throw out a question here. Does anyone else think that Anet will begin spreading it's players too thin? There are certain areas that are already hard to get a PUG, if they add a new Chaper every 6 mo, soon it will be impossible! It's nice to have new chapters & such, but I don't think they are pulling in so many players that they make up for the spread.
Does Anet need a new buisness model soon? I mean, maybe paying to open different types of armor or weapons or something, but if they keep adding new Missions, the players will all diffuse over the maps. Not only that, but ppl will be locked into whatever chapers they have making some of the spread totally unable to connect. I dunno. I like new content & such, but the people need to be able to play together!

I'm really excited.
I also hope we get new models for the new classes and the current pictures just use placeholder models.
My predictions on new skills:
Cafemonger - Obsessionation - 5/1/60 - Enchantment. For each hour you have been online (maximum 24), you gain +2% chance for the next 50..250 loot drops to be assigned to you.
And...the new skill for Dervishes to temporarily change into a god!

These classes sound a lot like some of the concept classes suggested by these forum members.
The dervish class was proposed
and check out this concept that i had on a commander unit that uses shouts and stuff, similar to the paragon. is it just coincidence?
